Shipping Specialist

DRB In-Bay Solutions is a growing and vibrant software company in need of a Shipping Specialist. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to help our organization succeed. This person will package, manifest, and track all the items requested by the customers - external and internal. They keep strict item handling practices as per the recommended business practices and accurately update the needed tracking systems such as external data sources, spreadsheets, and ERP system. Besides filing and maintaining shipping document records as per the departmental guidelines, shipping specialists also make it easy to trace shipments by creating or printing identifying labels. Moreover, shipping specialists maintain excellent customer relationships and give timely updates relating to shipments to origin and destination. As required.

Responsibilities

• Manage order fulfillment for small parcel, LTL, and freight forwarder shipments.
• Manage incoming and outgoing shipping logistics for cargo transportation carriers and shipping companies.
• Prepare shipping documents for LTL shipments such as bills of ladings, and shipping labels.
• Ensure automated logistics management system for stocks of support equipment parts, components, and packaging materials.
• Communicate with management as issues arise to prevent production and delivery interruptions.
• Pull raw material for work orders and part orders as needed.
• Package materials for shipment.

The right candidate will have:

• High school diploma required.
• Must have less than load (LTL) freight and small parcel shipping experience.
• A minimum of (3-5) years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
• Must be organized, detail-oriented and team driven
• Must be flexible and adaptable to constant change
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Aptitude for learning new software programs.
• Strong verbal communication skills and detailed oriented.
• This is standard shift is 8-5 Monday thru Friday at this time but may evolve into a later shift as time goes by.
