This role will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery, facilities, etc. used to produce new and existing materials and goods run at maximum efficiency and output. This includes total preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical and electrical equipment. This position is for our production and maintenance activities. We need an ambitious and hardworking professional who does not mind working in hot or cold conditions and can work an entire shift on his or her feet. We require a Warehouse Worker who can pay careful attention on the job, follow instructions precisely and double-check his or her work before completing a task. Job purpose

Material handlers move products in warehouses and manufacturing facilities, either manually or using equipment such as trucks or forklifts. Their responsibilities may include pulling inventory and moving stock and other materials to fulfill orders,and unloading product deliveries by pulling them off of trucks and putting them on shelves. Ensuring to meet company standards of service and cost objectives, safety, security and the highest levels of productivity.

Duties and responsibilities

Major Tasks, Accountabilities and Key Responsibilities:

• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Opens containers.
• Pick orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped following proper locator procedures.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage, report any damaged merchandise by proper method.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites with proper equipment and efficiently stack and store merchandise to designated area, using proper record keeping maintaining locator system.
• Counts and records number of units of materials moved or handled, process paperwork accurately.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Safely and efficiently operate powered industrial truck or any other material handling equipment. Operates powered industrial truck to load, unload or move materials and products in an efficient and safe manner.
• Use Radio Frequency equipment for picking, receiving, loading and storing of materials as required.
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.
• Lifts heavy objects by hand, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment.
• Participate in physical inventories.
• Comply with OSHA and Shippers Warehouse safety rules and regulations, assist in maintaining warehouse security.

Required Experience:

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Minimum 3 months operations/ warehouse experience
• Good computer skills (Typing, working on computer sites)
• Good communication skills
• MHE certification a plus
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Working conditions

Warehouse environment may or may not be climate controlled. Heat, cold, dust, loud noises and repetitive sounds. This list is not all inclusive other environmental conditions may be present.

Physical requirements

Sit, Stand, Stoop, walk, bend, lift 40lbs. or more, hand and eye coordination, computer screen viewing, and repetitive movements. This list is not all inclusive, other physical requirements may be required.
