Compensation: In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $50,000 and $68,000 per year. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law.

Locations: Centennial, Littleton, and Longmont

Responsibilities Include:

• Teaching in a classroom for the short-term assessment and respite programs
• Complete academic and social-emotional assessments in a timely manner
• Coordinate transportation for students attending public school
• Support students participating in remote/hybrid learning with academic and technology issues
• Provide direct teaching to students 225 days of the year
• Plan and implement approved curriculum
• Plan and implement lessons in multiple subjects
• Keep attendance/grades/progress reporting and records of students.
• Draw-up and maintain approved individual written lesson plans
• Supervise students in the lunch room/cafeteria during assigned rotations
• Supervise support staff in the classroom and enlist special skills as needed
• Fulfill requirements for ongoing education (TTE/SEE)
• Responsible for working with youth who have emotional and behavioral issues resulting from trauma and neglect, and who display verbal and physical aggression.

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree and/or 2 years experience working with the youth
• Must have a professional mentality
• Must be at least 23 years of age (will consider 21 years of age)
• Must be able to pass several background checks
• Must hold a valid Colorado driver’s license or have the ability to obtain one
• Must meet agency MVR criteria
• Due to the short length of stay for these clients, mastery of direct care skills are a must
