Position Description :

Position Summary :

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to oversee the management of departmental processes and personnel at a prominent manufacturing firm.

This role requires ensuring that production goals are met on time, quality standards are maintained, and downtime is minimized.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Core Duties :
• Manage the on-time delivery of production schedules and ensure department standards are upheld.
• Implement production improvements and manage documentation related to production, downtime, and losses.
• Support Functions :
• Optimize employee allocation to maximize throughput while managing labor costs.
• Track and improve departmental Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through corrective actions.
• Perform quarterly and year-end evaluations for department employees.
• Interpersonal Engagement :
• Communicate effectively with team members to enforce quality and efficiency.
• Identify underperforming employees and provide necessary training.
• Uphold and promote the companys 5S standards within the department.
• Technical and Administrative Tasks :
• Monitor incoming materials, including packaging and chemicals, to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Enforce proper chemical handling practices to prevent cross-contamination.
• Maintain comprehensive production logs and implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Flexibility for Role-Specific Tasks :
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the department and company goals.

Required Qualifications :

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent; further education in management or a related field preferred.
• Experience : Previous experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment is essential.
• Skills : Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, strong leadership capabilities, proficiency in MS Office Suite and AS400 (J.D. Edwards).
• Physical Requirements : Ability to handle the physical demands of a manufacturing environment, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
