Shiftech is Hiring an Architect/Project Manager Near Jacksonville, FL

Our Client is seeking a Senior Architect/Project Manager to join their growing Architectural team in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate possesses 10 years of related experience and will be given the chance to lead and make project decisions, participate in firm organization strategy, and make an impact on our Client's overall business. The successful candidate would also interface with clients, network for business development, and support proposal development for project opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Full oversight on all rolling projects from project design, documentation, and site development.
  • Managing and overseeing project estimates, budgets, workloads, schedules, plans, and manuals.
  • Contributing to the overall design, documentation and management of projects in the Defense/Federal, Energy, Transportation, and Industrial industries.
  • Managing projects through Construction Administration phase by routing RFIs and shop drawings to the appropriate team member, responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, issuing ASIs and RFPs, and reviewing pay applications
  • Ensuring all plans are compliant with government health and safety regulations.
  • Providing guidance to subcontractors like builders, plumbers, and electricians, and helping them interpret design specifications.
  • Liaising with clients to ensure all issues are addressed promptly, and that project requirements are met.
  • Acting as a mentor to entry to mid level Architects and helping them fine-tune their design skills and improve their industry knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree
  • Relevant State Architectural License is preferred
  • 10 years of experience with a good portfolio
  • Experience in Federal, Higher Ed and Municipal Building Design a plus
  • Fully capable architect with experience in Project Management and Client engagement
  • Proficient with relevant software such as Revit and other typical tools of the profession
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work.
  • Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally
