The Team:
Shields Health's MRI Technologists support the integrity of the organization with their commitment to excellence. The MRI technologist will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, while maintaining a fast-paced, multi-tasked oriented clinical environment.
The Role:
•Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times. These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.
•Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
•Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
•Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
•Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
•Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.
•Administer intravenous contrast.
•Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.
•Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
•Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
•Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
•Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
•Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
•Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.
•Contrast administration
The Skills:
This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience. Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills.
In addition the applicant will need to:
•Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
•Assist patients with mobility difficulties
•Some inpatient locations may require employee’s to participate in a call schedule/rotation
•To push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
•Above physical requirements can be met with or without accommodation
