Shick Esteve is Hiring a System Sales Engineer Near Kansas, MO

Description

Shick Esteve is looking for a System Sales Engineer to join our team in Kansas City, MO. As a System Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing support to our internal sales team, representatives, and customers in the Americas market. You will act as an advisor to the sales teams regarding projects and associated tasks in growing the sales of Shick Esteve’s diverse systems portfolio; assist in developing ingredient automation solutions based on customer specifications and requirements. 

Work You’ll Do

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all Shick Esteve’s products, policies, and goals
  • Interface with inside sales, sales reps, vendors, and customers to develop systems equipment proposals and secure systems projects
  • Develop cost estimates, written proposals, and flow diagram/stack-up drawings in accordance with Systems guidelines
  • Provide technical and functional direction for equipment proposals and projects to make sure they match our customer’s needs with compatible technical, functional, and operational interests of our company.
  • Review design criteria and application information. Confer with the Engineering Manager or Coordinator to resolve application problems and sales aspects of assigned proposals.
  • Participate in sales seminars for reps and customers
  • Support sales and maintain business relationship with sales representatives, end-users and
  • engineering contracting firms that utilize products and systems available via product portfolio.
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Engineering degree (BSEE, BSME or BSCE) or minimum 5 years equivalent experience in capital equipment sales of bulk solid material handling equipment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Understand dry bulk solid material properties such as flowability and filtration
  • Familiar with related equipment and systems (feeders, pneumatic & mechanical conveyors, flow aids, processing equipment, mixing & blending, unloading, and loading devices, bulk storage, size reduction, dust collection, etc.)
  • Understand pneumatic conveying techniques and methods of sizing blowers and fans
  • Familiar with customer’s processes such as extrusion, milling, sieving, and weighing with an emphasis on food manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of process control fundamentals
  • Ability to understand and apply national design and safety codes
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated and competence to negotiate
  • AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, Mapics, Vault, CRM

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with sanitary and hygienic design standards (BISSC, EHEDGE, FDA, USDA)
  • Experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM software) 
  • Must be cost conscious
  • Experience in sales development and product /project management a plus
  • Must have conceptual and analytical capability
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical drawings to interpret customer’s process requirements
