Job Summary

The Digital Solutions organization at Stratascale helps clients build integrated and sustainable cloud-centric solutions. Our goal is to be the top technology partner on the planet by enabling every enterprise to reach its full potential.

As Manager of Digital Professional Services, you will lead the Digital Solutions Professional Services team in delivering technology projects to enterprise clients. Your team's projects will span cloud-native architectures, automation, software engineering, custom digital product creation, application modernization, FinOps/GreenOps, migrations, etc. This leader will work with sales, pre-sales, PMO, and other stakeholders to scope statements of work, align internal and external technical resources, and oversee the successful delivery of projects. Your team will support offering development by creating reusable application code, scripts, and assets to enable efficient and repeatable project delivery.

This is a technology leadership role. While the Manager is not expected to be an expert across all Digital Solutions technology domains, they must be technical enough to grasp the architectures and engineering services delivered to clients. The right individual will have technical breadth and understand how and when to dive deep into a project to ensure a fantastic client experience.

This role will report to the Managing Director – Stratascale Digital Solutions. This is a hybrid position in Charlotte, NC. Still, we are accepting applications for a remote / home office work location that may be required to report to Statascale/SHI offices (Charlotte, NC, Somerset, NJ) as required for business needs determined by management.

Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and lead the Professional Services team of architects and engineers.
  • Develop a performing team with superior technical depth and excellent client relationship skills.
  • Develop scalable processes and solutions for profitable growth.
  • Track and report on resource utilization, efficiency, performance, and profitability.
  • Track and maintain technical capabilities, skills, and certifications. Develop a plan to grow skills or hire as needed to support client project needs.
  • Set and track team and individual goals, MBOs, and OKRs.
  • Ensure successful project delivery by tracking project timelines and deliverables.
  • Ensure budgets and schedules meet client requirements.
  • Serve as leadership escalation for client satisfaction issues.
  • Work with delivery/staffing partners to assign high-performing resources to client projects.
  • Oversee hiring, prioritizing diversity of backgrounds and experience.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience leading a high-performance technology team in an enterprise-scale (Fortune 1000) organization.
  • At least 5 years of experience delivering cloud architectures and solutions as an individual contributor.
  • Experience in migration and modernization of application portfolios; proficient in modern cloud, data platform concepts, and the technologies that support IaaS/PaaS and solutions.
  • Technical understanding of modern software development.

Required Skills

  • Outstanding customer service, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving with the ability to serve as an escalation point and understand when to dive deep to resolve an issue.
  • Understanding how to be calm in a challenging situation while demonstrating a sense of urgency to ensure the best client and sales field experience.
  • Understanding of when to delegate while ensuring staff accountability and productivity.
  • Ability to mentor and motivate a technical team ensures technical skills aren’t static.
  • Strong project management experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Strong technology aptitude with the ability to pick up new skills in an ever-changing cloud landscape.
  • Creativity to generate new ideas or think about a task or problem in a new or different way.
  • Ability to monitor employee performance fairly and consistently. Provide actionable feedback and address personnel issues urgently.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to and experience leading software development teams.

Certifications Required

  • At least one certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP

Unique Requirements

  • Travel to Stratascale internal meetings, candidate interviews, client sites, and partner conferences up to 20% annually

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $200,000 - $240,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
