Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Escort. As a Patient Escort, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients during their appointment visits outside of the facility. Your primary responsibility will be to escort and support patients to various locations, while providing exceptional care and support.
Duties:
- Safely transport patients to and from appointments, such as diagnostic imaging, surgery, or physical therapy
- Assist patients with getting in and out of beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during transportation by using proper lifting and transferring techniques
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to provide updates on patient status and address any concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient transport equipment
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sanitary environment
### Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic nature towards patients' needs
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of transporting patients throughout the hospital
