The Customer Marketing Co-op – Category Strategy in Consumer Brands Group (CBG) at Sherwin-Williams will be responsible for supporting the gathering, analysis, and interpretation of category data to inform the go-to-market strategy for brands like Valspar, HGTV Home by Sherwin Williams, and Dutch Boy. This includes supporting our sales, brand marketing, and product marketing teams to shape and execute a cohesive strategy
***This individual must be available to work full time in summers and part time year round, they must be available to be on site at least 3 days a week in our Cleveland, Ohio offices ***

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Assist with the building and completion of Category and/or Product Reviews
- Help identify Brand/Category opportunities at our retail partners
- Support analytical needs of pre-determined sales teams
- Interpret and communicate meaning from disparate data sources
- Leverage multiple tech platforms to complete projects
- Understand who our consumers are and what drives them
- FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
- Current undergraduate student with a strong interest in Marketing Strategy
Preferred:
- Have a concentration in one of the following areas: business, marketing, analytics, mathematics, statistics, research, sociology
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in MS Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and eager to learn
- Organized, strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize
- Analytical and metrics-driven with a strategic mindset
- Comfortable working in web based software and localized data systems
