JOB SUMMARY:

Coordinate, set up and maintain Polybag Operations and equipment. Operation includes overseeing all equipment functions and the activities of all employees assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Demonstrate knowledge and the ability to understand Polybag specifications
• Perform make readies (m/r) on the Polybag
• Responsible for the set-up, production, preventative maintenance and observation of all safety standards of the equipment
• Responsible for the set-up, production and maintenance of the Ink-Jet Systems
• Maintain consistency in the observation of all safety procedures, bending and lifting techniques
• Responsible for training and directing crew
• Possess the knowledge and ability to read and understand the job tickets, worker orders and all other documentation that pertains to each job
• Interact with supervisors to facilitate daily schedules
• Understands and carry out customer’s quality requirements
• The ability to operate all tools pertaining to equipment, wrenches, gauges and tape measures, etc…
• Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or to determine whether adjustments are needed
• Oversee the work performance and training of assigned crew members.
• Delegate/Assign work duties to assigned crew members.
• Customize orders to specifications/requirements.
• Maintain quality and quantity standards.
• Complete processes related to paperwork and forms.
• May handle hazardous waste as a part of daily job functions.
• Other duties assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Monitor/Assess performance of yourself and others to make improvements or take corrective actions to produce quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to train and develop others.
• Must possess strong organizational skills.
• Possess the ability to perform basic math functions.
• Effectively communicate both written and verbally.
• The ability to troubleshoot.
• Must be dependable, reliable, and responsible in fulfilling obligations.
• Must work well with others.
• Must be flexible and open to change when needed.
• Able to follow instructions and make decisions.
• Willing to work overtime when needed. The ability to work 10 to 12 hour shifts.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have some printing experience.
• Minimum 1-year Bindery experience.
• Ability to interpret and utilize various units of measure and their conversions.
• Must possess a mechanical aptitude.

The ability to use logical and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

• Basic small packaging knowledge

Physical Requirements

▪ Prolonged periods of standing while setting up and operating equipment

▪ Continuously bending, twisting, kneeling and squatting

▪ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

· Overtime pays time and a half after working 40 hours within the work week

· Shift premium: $1.00 for working 2nd shift, 3rd shift and over night shifts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
