Summary of Job Description

Uniform Attendant plays a crucial role in supporting the Uniform Supervisor and assisting all personnel with their uniform needs. Responsibilities include receiving, sorting, and dispatching uniforms to the laundry service, ensuring proper documentation. The role involves distributing clean uniforms to staff based on the Cintas Uniform Tracking System. Effective verbal and written communication with colleagues is essential, reflecting attentiveness, friendliness, courtesy, and a service-oriented approach.

This position pays $19.30/hour

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in uniform, linen, or relevant field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.

Work Hours

  • Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.
  • Scheduling includes holidays, nights, overnights and weekends depending on hotel events and functions.

Job Requirements:

  • Understand and align with the hotel's mission, vision, and goals.
  • Ability to prioritize and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking capabilities.
  • Proficient in the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills.
  • Capable of physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect uniforms for damage, remove substandard ones, and report issues to the Uniform Supervisor.
  • Sort, issue, receive, and keep records of uniforms.
  • Coordinate with laundry for uniform rewash when needed.
  • Inform management about damaged uniforms and organize spare uniforms.
  • Input employee uniform data into the Cintas Uniform Tracking System.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of uniforms for new hires.
  • Collaborate with seamstress/seamster for uniform repairs.
  • Maintain accurate daily uniform records.
  • Assist in monthly hotel inventory.
  • Keep the uniform room clean and organized.
  • Tag all uniforms with Cintas Uniform Tracking Bar Codes.
  • Handle lost and found items from guest rooms.
  • Adhere to safety standards and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and departments.
  • Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
