Sheppard Pratt is Hiring a Site Supervisor, Germantown, Nexus, Full Time, Evening Shift Near Germantown, MD

This is a combination of direct service and administrative position offered by Way Station, Inc.,
requiring general knowledge of serious mental illness and specific knowledge and skill in rehabilitation
with persons with disabilities. This position involves the provision of housing supports and
coordination of overall services for individuals, and supervision of assigned staff. The Site Supervisor is expected, through training and experience, to exercise independent judgment with the supervision of the Program Manager.
Responsibilities:
•Supervise assigned staff on the team.
•Provide smooth day to day operation of assigned areas.
•Provide orientation for WSI individuals assigned to team.Initiate communication with supervisor regarding concerns, ideas, input and suggestions.
•Provide and/or coordinate the following services with assigned individuals: assessment, planning, linking, monitoring, advocacy and care, both internal to Way Station's program and through external social service agencies.
•Assist assigned individuals with medication monitoring and money management according to policy, including the development of money management plans and authorizing disbursement.
•Provide transportation for individuals when integral to rehabilitative process.
•Implement crisis intervention actions as appropriate, and provide training/direction to staff regarding crisis response.
•Promote and insure the health, safety and security, organization, and home-like atmosphere of the residential environments and office areas, including oversight of inspection preparations and communication as needed.
•Assist with interviewing and making recommendations for hiring new staff. Assist with orientation, training, ongoing supervision and evaluation of staff on team.
Requirements:
•Possession of a High School diploma or equivalent required. Plus, two-years positively referenced relevant work experience.
•Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
•Position requires Valid driver's license or alternative transportation plan. Must be covered under an active auto insurance policy and a valid copy of auto insurance is required prior to hire.
•Ability to perform individual assessment, planning and implementation in both structured and unstructured.
•Ability to prioritize individual needs and manage time to complete assignments daily.
•Ability to develop and maintain daily structure in individual residences.•Ability to communicate WSI's mission to the community through frequent interactions with neighbors, landlords and business people.
•Ability to assess residential environments for health, safety, security, organization and home-like atmosphere.
