The Center of Excellence for Psilocybin Research and Treatment is a newly established research center within Sheppard Pratt's Institute for Advanced Diagnostics and Therapeutics which also houses two well established treatment methods for severe mood disorders. The Center includes Dr. Matthew Johnson who brings more than 25 years of experience providing mental health treatments using psychedelics.
What you can expect.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Dr. Johnson's team that is changing the face of psychiatry. You will play a crucial role in researching the use of psilocybin therapy in the treatment of various mental health conditions and aim to understand the mechanisms underlying the therapy.
Specific responsibilities include:

• Developing research protocols and methodologies for investigating the effect of psilocybin and other psychedelic therapies on mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, and others.
• Overseeing the implementation of research studies, ensuring adherence to the ethical guidelines and regulatory requirements .
• Coordinating data collection efforts , including participant recruitment, assessment, and data management.
• Communicating research findings internally and externally through presentations, publications, and conferences.
• Assisting in the development of grant proposals to secure funding for research projects.

What we need from you.

• Must have a current license to practice in Maryland at time of hire.
• Must be board certified or board eligible.
• Experience conducting and publishing research studies.
