Position Summary: The Warehouse Maintenance Worker cleans and maintains assigned areas to meet both internal and external customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be self-directed and self-motivated, with little supervision. The essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary based on business needs.

Schedule: 7am-4pm

Pay Rate: $16-$18 per hour

Essential Functions:

• Must be self-directed, self-motivated and work with limited supervision
• Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including complying with OSHA, state/local, federal, and Shepherd Electric regulations
• Maintains a clean and orderly environment to project the safety and health of others
• Properly cleans and maintains all warehouse areas to include but not limited to shelves, lighting and ceiling tiles
• Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas
• Some knowledge and ability to assist with painting, plumbing and electrical as needed
• Ensures security of company assets, for all locations, inside and for outside yards
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must be dependable and able to work flexible hours
• Previous janitorial, custodial or maintenance experience preferred
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling greater than 80 lbs.
• Forklift experience, a must
• Valid Drivers License a must. The ability to operate a company van and travel (during regular business hours) is needed in this role. Occasional offsite work at various Company-held properties, as needed as well.
• Must be willing to train to operate floor refinishing equipment
• Must be willing to maintain all aspects of groundskeeping
• Responsible for purchase of goods needed for projects (using company credit card) and be held accountable for receipts and reconciliation.
