Position Summary: Shepherd Electric Supply, a distinguished name in electrical distribution since 1892, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Gear team as an Estimator. As a vital member of the Gear Department, you will play a key role in project estimation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the process.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm

Pay: Negotiable based on experience.

Essential Functions:

• Project Estimation: Oversee all aspects of project estimation, including technical document review, pricing, and order negotiation.
• Detail Oriented: Demonstrate efficiency and attention to detail.
• Tech-Savvy: Interpret technical documents to select appropriate products for the applications.
• Customer-Focused:  Guide customers through equipment selection, quote review, and customized solutions to project requirements.
• Computer Proficiency: Utilize various software products for configuration and pricing purposes.
• Building Relationships: Establish strong connections with contractors and vendors to foster collaborative partnerships.
• Excellent Communication: Exhibit polished verbal and written communication skills throughout interactions.
• Responsiveness: Reliable and timely communications, building customer confidence and satisfaction.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

• Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Industry Experience: 1-3 years in the electrical industry preferred.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic software applications; experience with Eclipse is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication is essential.
