The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office has a remarkable opportunity to join a hardworking team, who takes pride in diligently protecting and serving the citizens and visitors of our county. This Sworn Deputy Sheriff position is assigned to the Patrol Division responsible for answering calls-for-service from the community and patrolling Shenandoah County in a manner that enhances public safety.

The annual starting pay range for this FLSA non-exempt position is $47,556.61 depending on experience for fully certified applicants. The annual starting pay range is 44,069.00 depending on experience for uncertified applicants commensurate with qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The County offers an excellent benefits package, including Virginia Retirement System, health and dental insurance, vacation and sick leave, and holidays. The successful candidate must pass a pre-employment, post-offer drug screening and background check.
