ShelfGenie of Austin is Hiring a Remote Carpenter
ShelfGenie is expanding rapidly and we need help to accommodate the huge demand!
We are currently seeking skilled Carpenters who are already talented craftsmen to install our custom Glide-Out shelving in customers’ existing cabinets. While the work is only part-time, our clients often need other remodeling and fix-up work in their home, which can lead to additional side work for you.
You are hard-working, a team player, and dedicated to performing quality work in all that you do. Significant past experience as a professional carpenter is highly preferred and a positive attitude is a must!
Responsibilities:
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
- Take accurate measurements and upload to the computer portal system
- Receive product shipment and inspect products for quality
- Schedule an appointment with the customer
- Install Glide-Out shelving at customer home to the customer’s satisfaction
- Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner
Qualifications:
- Necessary state Licenses and Insurance
- Previous experience as a professional carpenter
- Value the importance of customer service
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to read and correctly interpret blueprints
- Skilled with & be able to safely operate/use all carpentry tools including tape measure, rotary laser, string line, circular saw, levels, hammer & nails, chalk line, rotary hammer, square, etc.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
