Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing and submitting medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, and maintaining accurate billing records.

Duties:

- Review and verify patient information, medical records, and insurance eligibility

- Accurately assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10) to diagnoses and procedures

- Prepare and submit electronic or paper claims to insurance companies

- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, and resubmit as necessary

- Coordinate with medical providers to obtain missing documentation or clarification on coding

- Maintain accurate billing records and documentation of all claim activities

- Stay up-to-date with changes in medical coding guidelines and regulations

- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, insurance companies, and referrals

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
