Works under the general direction of the assigned manager. Responsible for performing analytical and administrative work with minimal supervision; Performs field assessment of properties. Coordinates and performs functional activities in the Environmental Regulatory program.
Pay Grade: 51
Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education
1. Three (3) years’ experience in the administrative, construction, or environmental field or an equivalent combination of training and experience; AND
2. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, management, or a closely related field; OR
3. An equivalent combination of related education and/or experience.
4. PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
1. Coordinates, develops, and implements program and project operations in areas related to Property Maintenance.
2. Oversees contractor work process, acceptability of work product, and billing, payment, and lien procedures.
3. Coordinates and assists all assigned section functions related to special projects.
4. Inspects, documents, and coordinates Property Maintenance projects for external and internal customers and vendors, including but not limited to blight, tree trimming/removal, solid waste, illegal dumping, trash removal, vegetation control, demolition, board and secure structures, landlord-tenant setouts, and other environmental complaints/violations.
5. Investigates, schedules, and follows up on citizen concerns/complaints with prompt resolution to meet established administrative guidelines.
6. Creates and maintains various operational and administrative reports and contracts.
7. Manages and maintains electronic work order software and enters daily work products.
8. Monitors, responds, and resolves citizen and vendor complaints.
9. Assembles data and prepares necessary reports to meet various purchasing requirements.
10. Assists in identifying and resolving program and staff operating problems.
11. Assists and delegates clerical personnel.
12. Performs other related duties as required or directed.

3. Ability to deal tactfully with co-workers, the public, and government agencies.
4. Ability to exercise good judgment in analyzing administrative problems evaluating situations and recommending or taking appropriate action.
5. Ability to plan and direct the work of others.
6. Ability to obtain and record data and create reports.
7. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
