Works under the supervision of a supervisor to coordinate and assist the activities of the assigned courtroom or court related support network.
Pay Grade: 44
Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education
1. Four (4) years of experience in appropriate clerical, bookkeeping, data processing or statistical work; AND
2. High school diploma or possess a GED;
3. Court related experience preferred.
4. PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
1. Prepares electronic docket or calendar of cases to be called, entering decisions and continuances in a computer program.
2. Examines submitted court legal documents for adherence to court or law procedures.
3. Prepares court case folders and posts, files and routes documents.
4. Explains procedures or forms to requesting parties.
5. Provides information to various state and county officials.
6. Administers oaths to witnesses, attorneys, and litigants.
7. Scans and verifies all court orders.
8. Prepares legal records for appeal.
9. Performs other related duties as required or directed.
1. Knowledge of courtroom procedures.
2. Knowledge of the various legal instruments issued by the court.
3. Ability to maintain an established system of records and files.
4. Ability to write and type warrants for variety of needs.
5. Ability to engage the public with courtesy and tact.
6. Knowledge of business English with good communication skills.
