Responsible for developing, implementing and administering programming related to Shelby County Pretrial Services Day Reporting Center.
Pay Grade: 48
Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education
1. Two (2) years of experience in an increasingly responsible administrative and/or lead capacity; AND
2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in criminal justice, psychology, sociology, social work or a closely related field; OR
3. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
4. PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND /OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
1. Works with various stakeholders to connect defendants to proper resources based on their needs.
2. Supervises, trains and evaluates the work performance of assigned staff.
3. Counsels individuals or groups in the various programs within the agency.
4. Acts as liaison with the various agencies and departments to promote and assist with criminal justice initiatives and reforms.
5. Develops community resources and coordinate existing resources for at risk clients.
6. Develops program plans and carry out specialized projects as it relates to Day Reporting Center and other criminal justice related programs.
7. Facilitates team/group discussions to promote and enhance unit effectiveness.
8. Gathers, reviews and generates statistical reports related to unit operation.
9. Maintains program records and statistics.
10. Reviews case files and documentation for accuracy and ensures proper responses to issues and/or discrepancies.
11. Works with other official agencies, individuals, and groups in promoting therapeutic and behavioral modification programming geared towards clients’ needs.
12. Performs other related duties as required or directed.
1. Thorough knowledge of the criminal justice system as it relates to Day Reporting.
2. Ability to recruit, train and supervise personnel as needed.
3. Ability to coordinate and direct activities of assigned personnel.
4. Ability to compile composite reports.
5. Ability to establish and maintain system of records.
6. Ability to cooperate and work with other departments and agencies.
1. Must be available for shift, weekend and holiday work as required.
2. Must be able to work in a jail secured environment as needed.
