Works under the general supervision of the Administrator of Community Engagement & Outreach. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategies related to the Nonprofit Committee, Office of Education and Youth, Employee Engagement and Community Outreach and generally executing office functions.
Pay Grade: 53
Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education
1. Three (3) years of experience in an increasingly responsible administrative capacity; AND
2. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, accounting, management, human services, or related field; OR
3. An equivalent combination of related education, training, and/or experience.
4. PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
1. Supports activities related to purchasing and contracting for the Office and the programs that it administers and ensures operation within established policies and procedures.
2. Reviews all budgets, tracks expenses, creates related reports, and assists in budget forecasting for the various budgets within the office.
3. Coordinates HR functions for staff and program-related hiring.
4. Supports programmatic activities and ensures that they are carried out in accordance with established policies and procedures.
5. Works with internal and external partners to support collaboration and communication.
6. Helps to project manage the Division staff and other retreats and meetings.
7. Coordinates staff-wide activities and communications.
8. Receives, reviews, and processes records, reports, and other various documents as required for accuracy and/or conformance with established policies and procedures.
9. Provides support and assistance for all functions of the Office of Community Engagement and Outreach, including, but not limited to the Nonprofit Committee, the Office of Education and Youth, and Outreach and Employee Engagement functions.
10. Performs other related duties as required or directed.
1. Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment; skilled at operating office equipment.
2. Proficiency knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
3. Knowledge of computerized databases.
4. Knowledge of budgets, purchasing, and HR techniques.
5. Ability to train and work with team members.
6. Ability to communicate with staff and the public with courtesy and tact.
7. Ability to plan, organize, and maintain an even flow of work.
8. Ability to express ideas clearly, concisely, and effectively, verbally and in writing.
9. Ability to resolve problem situations.
