POSITION:

Elementary Teacher

DESCRIPTION:

Shekinah Christian School in Plain City, OH is seeking a passionate and professional full-time Elementary teacher for the 2024 – 2025 school year. The proper candidate will have a strong Christian faith that is easily recognized in his or her lifestyle. Excellent candidates will also be flexible and willing to engage students in mentoring and discipleship roles throughout the school year. An educator’s license and/or ACSI certification or willingness to obtain is required.

Requirements

· Be a born-again believer with a lifestyle consistent with biblical principles.

· Teach an elementary class.

· Differentiate instruction as necessary.

· Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school's vision, mission, and educational standards.

· Educate students in a classroom setting using best practices that involve real-life applications of the subject.

· Link classroom content with experiential learning outside the classroom.

· Maintain positive relationships with students and parents.

· Keep attendance, grades, and other records for each class in the school management system up-to-date.

· Prioritize the health and safety of all students.

· Participate in and develop ongoing opportunities for personal and professional growth.

· Communicate student issues to families in a timely manner.
