Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Manage, with support from the Senior Director of Development, the planning, administration, implementation, cultivation, retention, and tracking of all fundraising activities related to Membership at The Shed
Lead the direction and day-to-day operations of the membership program, with a focus on strategy, processing ticket requests, phone calls, managing Zendesk requests, and donor correspondence
Create monthly membership newsletters and update automatic communications
Drive ticketing for donor base, build house seating for all opening night performances, input all held seats, sending print-at-home tickets, and all applicable event invitations in Zkipster
Serve as a donor representative for ticketing during the member presale, providing superior customer service on phone, in person, and via online sales, and assisting patrons in making performance choices
Support Executive Leadership team in booking house seat requests for VIP’s
Build digital membership and donor email appeals, communications, and invitations; develop segmentation strategies and pull lists from Tessitura database
Communicate regularly with the Visitor Experience department to assess hold needs for performances including production holds, high-level donor seating, Civic program needs, and others during opening night and member night performances
Manage patron databases, correcting duplicate accounts, updating information, and working closely with the Major Gifts department to manage patron and donor information
Contribute to Individual Giving events from conception to execution, in partnership with the Senior Director of Development, in planning membership events, season calendar, event format, program, and staffing; manage special invitations and follow up; track and promote attendance in Tessitura, attend events and manage on site setup, execution, and breakdown
Drive efforts to plan opening night celebrations for each production in partnership with the Marketing, Artistic, Production/Facilities, and Civic Progra\m teams
Work with the Major Gifts team on developing and maintaining a strong patron-donor pipeline and increasing the visibility of the Maker membership program, with an aim to strategically grow the program
Collaborate with the Development team to execute an annual gala, engaging cultivation events and stewardship opportunities and manage major gift follow up from these events
Lead monthly member building tours
Partner with Development and Marketing colleagues to design compelling direct marketing campaigns, email invitations and communications, and stewardship mailings
Manage all gift entry and acknowledgments for membership donations in Tessitura, and coordinate with the Senior Director of Development and Finance Team on audit compliance, reconciliation, and payment processing for donor stewardship budget line items.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all vendors and represent The Shed and all relevant parties

Qualifications and Qualities
Five or more years of donor management preferred, experience ticket concierge within a cultural institution, performing arts facility, or arts organization
A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a highly motivated, energetic team
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate professionally, effectively, and discreetly with volunteers, colleagues, and donors
Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask, work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Excellent oral and strong problem solving and analytical skills
Adaptability and desire to join a start-up environment
Ability to work occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
Microsoft Word and Excel; Tessitura, or similar CRM database; and Wordfly or similar email management system
Excellent computer skills necessary, including Excel, Word, Office and Google Platform
Efficient in creating and analyzing spreadsheets and preparing financial analyses and recommendations
Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with employees, management, clients and vendors as necessary
Schedule The Shed is a hybrid workplace where employees work onsite at The Shed three days a week and remote two days. This position requires some evenings and weekends with advance notice. Compensation The salary range for this position is $90,000 – 100,000 per year. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
