Job Title: Purchasing Clerk
Responsible to: Office Manager
Responsible for: None
Location: Mooresville, NC Onsite and Tulsa, OK Remotely
Work Times: 8:00am to 4:30pm (Monday to Friday) with a 30 minute lunch.
A degree of flexibility will be needed at peak periods.
Salary: Full time, Non-Exempt

SHD Composite Materials Inc was incorporated in August 2018, to service the expanding American and Canadian composite industries. The North American HQ is in Mooresville, North Carolina and became a fully operational manufacturing facility in 2019.
SHD Composite Materials Inc are manufacturers of advanced composite prepreg. With a growing global presence, we can service the American prepreg market with high quality prepreg at fast turnaround times together with world class technical support.
Our core strength is the ability to supply high or low volume, with a wide range of tooling and component products throughout America, and around the world.
Purpose and Person Specification
The purpose of this role is to support the operations in all aspects of Purchasing.
In this role, you will be focused on the procurement of goods, services, and works to deliver value to the business. You will also be working with IT to order, set up and assist with IT needs.
Key Responsibilities
· Working in accordance with Company Quality and Health & Safety procedures at all times
· Work closely with the Office Manager and consult with both internal and external customers providing support for all procurement related requirements.
· Raising, placing, amend, and monitor progression of Purchase orders.
· Inventory items weekly and order selected items as needed according to quantity on hand and level of use.
· Maintain stock room.
· Run and send reports on stock as required.
· Ensure Breakroom and Restrooms are stocked.
· Oversee office cleaning.
· Maintaining an excellent repour with suppliers and following up on existing /outstanding Purchase orders with suppliers.
· Working with other internal departments to ensure the Purchasing department is operating in an efficient and compliant manner.
· Indirect sourcing and replacing existing products from a list of both approved suppliers and potential new suppliers, achieving the best price.
· Monitoring, updating and evaluation of supplier price lists, product lead times and minimum order quantities ensuring both cash flow and warehousing space are taken into consideration and optimised.
· Support Office Manager with stock monitoring and putting away orders, products, stock.
· Helping others with filing, organizing, etc... as needed.
· Work with IT to order, set up and assist with IT needs.
· Keep, organize, verify and file receipts, paper Purchase Orders, Paper Requisitions, invoices, etc..
· To undertake any other duties from time to time as can be reasonably requested by the company.

· Must have excellent communication and people skills to work with all levels for the organization and customers.
· Must have flexibility and adaptability for changing workloads.
· Must be able to read, write and speak English.
· Must have excellent math skills.
· Attention to detail is a must.
Work Environment/Essential Physical Demands
· Must be able to work weekends and overtime if required.
· Must be able to use hands and fingers for fine manipulation and keyboarding as needed.
· Ability to frequently bend, lift (up to 50lbs), and reach.
· Ability to stand and walk for up to 3 hours per day.
· Ability to sit for extended periods of time, using computers.
· Ability to safely, effectively and reliability receive and give urgent and other essential communications in a factory environment. Must have good vision and auditory senses.
· Ability to detect abnormalities in the process and receive safety signals using visual, tactile, or auditory senses. Must have good vision and auditory senses.
· Must be able to follow all safety and company policies and procedures.
· Must be able to wear all required PPE.
· Must be able to work in a typical office environment.
