Position Summary:
An Assistant Administrator assists in directing the overall operations of the care community in accordance with current local, state and federal regulations governing long-term care in-order to ensure the highest level of quality care is provided to each resident.
Position Responsibilities of an Assistant Administrator:
* Assists in guiding the care community according to local, state and federal regulations
* Acts as Administrator’s alternate during his/her absence
* Effectively communicates with residents, families, staff, visitors and vendors
* Ensures that care community and surrounding grounds are kept in good repair
* Communicates to the Administrator areas of concern and assists in implementing policies
* Assists with the QA process
* Maintains professional competence and keeps abreast of changes in the long-term care profession
* Assists in developing outside customer relations while building care community census
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must hold a four year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Must hold a current valid State Nursing Home Administrator’s License or be in the process of successfully obtaining license.
