Role Overview:

As a Laundry Aide, you will be an integral part of our team, ensuring that our residents' clothing and facility linens are impeccably clean and well-maintained. This position is about more than just laundry; it's about providing a sense of home and dignity to our residents.

Essential Functions:

• Manage the laundry cycle: sorting, washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens and resident clothing.
• Efficiently stock and organize linen closets and carts for nursing units.
• Deliver clean and fresh linens and resident clothing to rooms, brightening our residents' day.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area, contributing to a healthy environment.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and uphold high standards of cleanliness.
• Carefully handle linens, ensuring the highest quality of care and presentation.
• Adhere to punctuality and regular attendance to maintain smooth operations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Patience and politeness, reflecting our commitment to excellent resident care.

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care environment is a plus.
