Job Title Maintenance Supervisor Position Overview The Maintenance Supervisor at Plant WM provides supervision of daily maintenance operations within designated production departments; supervises and evaluates the work of maintenance employees and external contractors.- Responsibilities: Interacts with support areas, communicates with teammates, promotes safety, and interfaces with Leadership. Works with Hourly Teammates, Reliability Engineers, and the Plant Engineer daily. Assigning staff based on workloads and schedules; assists in overseeing plant repairs; develops, implements policies & procedures; ensures that staff is trained and are following standard operating procedures. Demonstrates and assists with plant efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work to provide quality customer care. Prepares shift for job assignments, production scheduling, P.M.'s and standard work, by working with Engineers and Hourly Technicians. Analyze past issues to further develop preventative maintenance measures Monitors and inspects contractor’s work to ensure safe work practices and standard operating procedures are followed. May assist in the installation of new equipment Report to management any quality, safety, or production problems that are encountered while performing the job Perform all job duties in a safe manner without bodily injury to self or other Perform all related job duties as assigned by Plant Engineer Adhere to normal work schedule and be on-call for work as needed. Ensures that proper safety practices are being followed by working with the supervisor and manager; including ensuring that all plant-required PPE is being used and is kept in good repair at all times. Use PeopleSoft procurement system to order parts and supplies related to job. Oversee Kronos for hourly maintenance technicians Assist in the training and development of 1st shift maintenance associates. Implements SMS policies and initiatives. Support Georgia Power, Dalton Utilities, and Power Logic on-line metering Systems. Oversee the Plant Electrical Calibration System, including selecting appropriate vendors and scheduling pickups and returns. Ensure all employees are being treated fairly and consistently. Resolve direct reports' complaints/issues as needed Schedule and organize work orders with the direction of the Plant Engineer. Follow-up on assigned work orders to ensure that they are completed in an efficient and timely manner. Learn and use SHARP and AO Docs systems to manage work orders and procedures.
