Job Overview:
Sharrah Dunlap Sawyer, Inc. (SDS) is seeking a Drafting Technician to join our in-office team. This is a full-time position working under the direct supervision of senior staff and registered professionals to produce exhibits, plans, and maps for residential subdivisions, commercial and industrial developments, and infrastruc- ture projects. Duties may also include site visits, inspections, and/or land survey field work.

REQUIREMENTS

• Any combination of training and experience that provides the distinguishing characteristics.
• A valid California driver’s license with an insurable driving record.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office programs.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred.
• Site development drafting experience.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong math and logic skills with the ability to conceptualize in three dimensions.
• Aptitude for critical thinking and problem solving.
• Self-motivated, strong work ethic, adaptable, creative, willing to learn new skills.
• Team-oriented approach with clients, colleagues, and coworkers.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Anticipated salary range: $20-$40 per hour based on qualifications.
• $1,226 monthly cafeteria allowance for employee and dependent medical, dental, vision and disability insurance.
