Sharp Trucking Services is a privately-owned transportation and logistics company based in Western Canada. We are looking for a full time Operations Manager/Dispatcher to join our terminal open Sudbury Ontario.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Creating job orders in Axon,
• Coordinate activities of staff within the company on duties like dispatching including obtaining permits, driver’s envelopes, and tracking/monitoring loads.
• Identifying and troubleshooting the resolution of any operational issues.
• Relay changes to trip information, documentation, route and permit information to drivers.
• Monitor driver availability and capabilities and schedule drivers appropriately.
• Ability to perform safety functions.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the transportation industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service skills including effectively and efficiently responding to inquiries.
• Strong time management skills including an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Experience with Axon would be an asset.
• Knowledge of Isaac Electronic Log Device
• Bilingual French/English is an asset.
