Start your day by making a tangible difference in your community! Our warehouse associates work part-time every weekday and are responsible for managing food waste and assisting with warehouse operations in the Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market.
We are looking for a part-time food distribution associate to help us allocate and track outgoing food donations! The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable working on a team, in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment, and will also be comfortable with basic data entry. You will assist with a variety of essential tasks to ensure our operations run smoothly and be an essential part of our nonprofit as we reduce food waste and food insecurity across Philadelphia.
Responsibilities

• Manage and allocate daily food donations to recipients.
• Ensure equitable and efficient distribution of food donations.
• Determine and organize food sorting, focusing on efficiency and recipient needs.
• Use whiteboarding and other planning tools to map out distribution strategies daily.
• Assist in weighing all incoming and outgoing food donations.
• Track and report case counts of outgoing donations.
• Ensure all distribution data is accurately closed out by the end of each day/week.

Qualifications

• Available 8 am-1 pm M-F.
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at one time.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must have a personal vehicle or reliable transportation.
