SHAREHOLDER is Hiring a Tribal Clean Energy Research Analyst-Intern Near Washington, DC

Panhandle Power Solutions (PPS) is seeking a driven and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Tribal Clean Energy Research Analyst Intern. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the burgeoning field of clean energy while focusing on the intersection of tribal sovereignty, environmental sustainability, and policy advocacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing a wide range of data sources to support strategic decision-making and advance our organization's mission. Responsibilities:Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on current market trends, including renewable energy technologies, investment opportunities, and regulatory developments affecting tribal clean energy initiatives.Data Collection: Monitor and collect relevant information from various sources, such as press releases, corporate announcements, government reports, and academic publications, to stay abreast of industry developments.Strategic Insights: Analyze data to identify key insights and implications for tribal clean energy projects, policy advocacy, and partnership opportunities.Report Preparation: Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and external partners, summarizing findings, trends, and recommendations.Event Participation: Attend tribal and clean energy events to network with industry professionals, learn about emerging technologies, and represent our organization's interests.Client Engagement: Assist in identifying potential clients and partners, and support outreach efforts through effective communication and relationship-building.Policy Advocacy: Stay informed about relevant federal, state, and tribal policies impacting clean energy initiatives, and contribute to advocacy efforts through research and analysis. Qualifications:Educational Background: Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a bachelor's or master's program in a relevant field such as environmental studies, sustainability, policy analysis, or a related discipline.Analytical Skills: Strong research and analytical abilities with the capacity to collect, organize, and interpret complex data from diverse sources.Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.Passion for Clean Energy: Demonstrated interest in renewable energy technologies, environmental sustainability, and the transition to a low-carbon economy.Tribal Advocacy: A genuine commitment to advancing tribal sovereignty and supporting indigenous communities in their pursuit of clean energy solutions.Self-Motivation: Proactive and self-directed approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, contributing ideas and supporting colleagues as needed. Preferred Qualifications (not required but desirable):Previous experience in clean energy research, policy analysis, or related fields.Familiarity with tribal governments, sovereignty issues, and cultural considerations.Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel.Experience with grant writing, proposal development, or fundraising activities.Knowledge of federal energy policies, tribal energy programs, and relevant regulatory frameworks. Note: This is an internship position with opportunities for growth and professional development.
