We are seeking a professional and reliable Class A CDL Driver to make the SMS Difference. Our Drivers relocate 53' spread axle trailers (our mobile imaging equipment) to client sites nationwide and/or along a dedicate mobile route.

Anticipated Schedule:

• Must be flexible as schedules will vary
• Due to time sensitive job requirements, must live within 200 miles of Madison, WI

Duties:

• Safely relocate the trailer/mobile equipment to medical facilities nationwide and/or along a dedicated route in accordance with DOT rules and regulations
• At each location, you will conduct set-up and tear down of the trailer
• You may assist in the patient-care capacity by escorting patients from the medical facility to the mobile unit, while ensuring excellent patient care, comfort, safety and confidentiality (we will train you!)
• Some administrative tasks required, including time/activity reports, billing, drivers' logs, and any applicable maintenance, mileage, or inspection forms

Qualifications:

• Class A CDL with a safe driving record
• Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check, urine drug screen and physical

GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK: Transports mobile medical imaging equipment to client sites nationwide and/or along the mobile route and maintains equipment according to specifications.Assists in the completion of examinations on patients of all ages when assisting on SMS mobile routes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Relocates mobile medical imaging equipment to various sites nationwide and/or along the mobile route in accordance with applicable DOT rules and regulations and SMS standard operating procedures.
2. At each location, sets up and tears down equipment, in accordance with SMS and/or manufacturers' guidelines.
3. Completes necessary administrative tasks (i.e. time reports, billing, drivers' logs, and any applicable maintenance, mileage or inspection forms).
4. Follows preventative maintenance guidelines and ensures proper maintenance of all equipment. Works with vendors and members of Transportation Team, as appropriate, to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical failures.
5. Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of the mobile coach and tractor.
6. Assists Technologist with completion of Patient Screening form.
7. Under the guidance and approval of the Technologist on duty, positions patients on the scanner surface in order to facilitate the performance of the examination.
8. Transports patients to and from the mobile coach. Maintains patient care, comfort and safety during transport to and from the mobile coach.
9. Provides images to the facility in the desired site format.
10. Complies with all safety policies and regulations
11. Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality.
12. Cooperates with facility healthcare personnel and complies with facility policies and procedures.
13. Occasionally assists with refurbishment projects and/or trailer maintenance
14. Performs additional duties as required

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
3. Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License with acceptable motor vehicle record
4. Must pass DOT physical and Drug/Alcohol Screening

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum of one year of tractor/trailer experience preferred or must have graduated from an acceptable truck driving training program
2. Must be able to understand and comply with the applicable DOT rules and regulations
3. Must be flexible, reliable and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative
4. Must be able to interact with client personnel and SMS team members in an autonomous, responsible, professional and ethical manner
5. Capable of a flexible work schedule, with possibility of 10 hour days, may include overnight, weekend and holiday shifts
6. Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment
7. Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
8. Must be willing and able to train and assist other drivers and team members
9. Able to demonstrate competency in all applicable areas

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
2. Climbs stairs to enter mobile unit and tractor
3. Squats or kneels and lifts objects from ground occasionally
4. Full extension of arms above head and in front of body
5. Frequently lifts weight of up to 10 pounds
6. Occasionally lifts weight of up to 75 pounds
7. Occasionally carries objects weighing up to 55 pounds
8. Must be able to push/pull objects with force of up to 72 pounds
9. May transfer patients weight up to 550 pounds with a variety of assistance from other staff or equipment
10. Must possess good balance

WORKING CONDITIONS:

1. Work is primarily performed in mobile unit with frequent trips outside to transport patients during all seasons
2. Exposure to inclement weather from transporting patients to and from facility to mobile unit
3. Mobile unit has artificial lighting, with some daylight from windows or doors
4. May have exposure to radiation or magnetic field in scan room
5. Possible exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues from working with patients and performing injections as required
