Fielding inquiries from the firm’s attorneys and assisting their needs to ensure accurate information is used in settlement negotiations.
In this role, you will be:
- Requesting, reviewing, and handling medical billing information for client accounting
- Regularly communicating with medical providers and health insurance carriers to obtain account information
- Regularly communicating with clients on the status of their settlement funds
- Managing the workflow of cases in our electronic case management system
- Drafting and sending correspondence
- Offering general assistance to attorneys and fellow settlement specialists
- Properly and constantly documenting all events and communications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- Experience and ability to accurately review medical information
- Highly proficient in Microsoft suite and demonstrated comfort with technology
- Experience working in a paperless office environment
- Friendly and calming phone etiquette particularly when demonstrating patience even in the most stressful situations
- Strong time management and multitasking skills in a hectic and ever-changing work environment
- High attention to detail and superior organizational skills
- Working well in a team setting and cooperating with fellow employees
