Summer League Swim Coach

Compensation:
Seasonal; non-exempt

We’ll pay you an hourly rate of $18-$19 per hour.

About the Job :
We need you to fill the role of Summer League Swim Coach. This is a seasonal, non-exempt position. You’ll wow us by masterfully performing the following key duties and responsibilities:

• Assist in teaching proper competitive swimming techniques and provides competitive swimming instruction to swim team members.
• Help to organize and conduct team workouts.
• Works effectively with other coaches as assigned.
• Coach with enthusiasm, warmth, and professionalism.
• Effectively communicates with participants about goals and progress, as well as parents regarding their child’s progress.
• Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions with participants, parents, and members.
• Help at swim meets to ensure swimmers are warmed-up, organized and to the ready bench on time.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of home swim meets, as requested.
• Assist Lifeguards in maintaining a safe environment for all patrons.
• Proactively communicate with members regarding space designated for practice.
• Complete Incident Reports as needed.
• Comply with all written Shalom Austin policies and procedures.
• Arrive on time, as scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned.

• At least 15 years old.
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid Pediatric and Adults certification or acquired within first two weeks of employment. Current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification, or equivalent, may be provided instead.

• Pass all required criminal history background checks (which may, depending on the position you are hired for, include an FBI fingerprint check).
