As a Sports Camp Counselor, you will be assigned to a group of 15-18 campers, based by grade, Kindergarten-6th grade along with another co-counselor. Counselors will manage the daily routine and activities for their group. Sports Camp consists of Soccer Camp, Basketball Camp and Maccabi Sports Camp(General Sports). This position is a seasonal full-time position. The expected hours are from 8AM-4PM Monday through Friday. Seasonal work begins May 28 and goes through July 26 with opportunities to work through August 16. Hours are subject to change based on the camp's needs.
What you will be doing:

• Work together as a team with their co-counselors to implement activities and transitions of the day.
• Act as the primary programmer and group facilitator for the group.
• Create activities with the goals and objectives of the camp while meeting the needs of the campers to ensure participation.
• Participate fully in programs and do written work, as necessary.
• Set a behavior example for campers.
• Attend and participate in all aspects of the camp including swimming and other water activities.

What you will bring:

• Experience with elementary aged children is preferred.
• Positive attitude and self-motivated.
• Works well collaboratively in a team environment.
• Pass all required criminal history background checks (which may, depending on the position you are hired for, include an FBI fingerprint check).
• Adhere to our Mission, Core Values, and all HR policies and procedures.
• Must be able to meet routine office physical demands including climbing stairs, carrying up to 20-pound objects and possessing the dexterity and vision to operate office computers and equipment.
