Description

Salary Range $45,000 to $50,000

Oversees all aspects of the Higher Sites program.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Responsible for all aspects of the Higher Sites program to ensure that program, training, and educational engagements are performed professionally and effectively.
  • Through strategic planning and evaluation process, develop new or modify existing services to meet the varied needs of program participants.
  • Provides a thorough description of education opportunities to program participants from area schools, community organizations, and partnered agencies.
  • Supervises, trains, and evaluates the performance of staff.
  • Works in partnership with the VP of Programming on effective public awareness campaigns.
  • Develops and updates participant evaluation tools to determine the quality of education programming and regularly evaluates feedback from audience participants.
  • Ensures all program deliverables are met per contract requirements and works closely with program staff to ensure timely outcome reports are being submitted.
  • Works closely with VP of Programming and program staff in overall performance of approach to the education programming including multiple partner agencies and community linkages.
  • Leads the identification of program updates required as a result of regulatory changes; responsible for documenting, training, and communicating key messages to the team.
  • Ensures that all program services are of the highest quality.
  • Utilizes the latest data and current thinking within the college-to-career field to inform the program development process.
  • Develops and maintains strategies to meet program goals and outcomes.
  • Ensures appropriate data collection for internal purposes and funders and evaluates analytical outputs in order to test relevance and applicability, and identify key insights
  • Ensures the complete and timely submission of internal grant reports. Prepare for and oversee program audits.
  • Establishes agency policy and protocol for the employment services, working with Executive and Senior level staff.
  • Represents the agency to the community through participation in site visits, contractor meetings, events and collaborations, and membership in professional organizations.
  • Develops and enhances working relationships with community-based organizations, city, federal government agencies, and partner agencies as appropriate.
  • Maintains sound financial management over program budgets.
  • Collaborates with all levels of senior management in identifying additional funding sources and responding to requests for proposals.
  • Serves as liaison between existing dedicated resources to promote shared learning and best practice identification and communication.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB: 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s social work, psychology, education, or in a related field, Masters preferred.

Experience:

  • At least three to five years of experience working within a high school and or college setting.
  • At least five years of extensive management experience.

Other:

  • Experience in organizational/administrative development, and program management with a demonstrated track record of success.
  • A clear understanding of the community(s) being served.
  • Demonstrated track record of strong community engagement skills.
  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity is required. Ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse families, various professionals and community groups.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Competent in Microsoft Office tools and inputting services in an online database.
  • Efforts to Outcomes.
  • Screening tools.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to frequently move inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to transport oneself to and from work sites.
  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs.
  • Constantly moves to assist during program activities.
  • At times may be required to lift up to 25 lbs. for various classrooms and events needs.
  • Frequently moves in outdoor weather conditions.
