Position Summary:?
The Registered Dental Hygienist provides ongoing preventive oral care through cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent gum disease.
Your contribution to the team includes:

• Perform clinical hygiene functions including, but not limited to, exposing/evaluating radiographs, adult/child prophylaxis, non-surgical periodontal therapy, sealants, and fluoride treatment.
• Performs oral cancer exams on all patients.
• Educates patients on the importance of preventive care.
• Assists doctor during clinical exams and records findings and recommendations.

Requirements
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Professional and friendly with excellent chair side manner
• Outstanding communication skills

Education/ Experience:

• Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene

Special Requirements/ Certifications/ Licenses:

• Registered Dental Hygienist License
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Licenses required for this position must be kept current, valid, and in good standing with the presiding entity.
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS, and infection Control Training
• Maintains patient confidentiality and takes every precaution to secure electronic Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA.
