Summary: As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our retail establishment. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will oversee various aspects of daily operations, including customer service, staff management, inventory control, and facility maintenance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service Excellence:

   • Provide outstanding customer service, addressing inquiries, and resolving complaints promptly and courteously.
   • Collaborate with management to ensure customers' needs are met efficiently.

2. Operational Support:

   • Assist in managing inventory levels and product ordering to maintain a fully stocked store.
   • Contribute to inventory audits and merchandise rotation initiatives.

3. Team Leadership and Training:

   • Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling of staff, ensuring adequate coverage during all shifts.
   • Support the Store Manager in fostering a positive work environment and addressing employee relations issues effectively.

4. Cash Handling and Financial Management:

   • Operate cash registers accurately and oversee cashier duties, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
   • Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for increasing sales and profitability.

5. Facility Maintenance:

   • Supervise cleaning activities to uphold cleanliness standards both inside and outside the store.
   • Assist in maintaining the building, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe and inviting environment for customers and employees.

6. Managerial Responsibilities:

   • Act as a replacement for the Store Manager when needed, ensuring uninterrupted store operations.
   • Execute managerial duties, including preparing necessary paperwork, conducting bank deposits, and overseeing daily reports.

7. Compliance and Security:

   • Enforce compliance with company policies regarding cash handling, merchandise sales, and security measures.
   • Monitor surveillance footage to identify and address any potential security issues.

8. Continuous Improvement:

   • Collaborate with management to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

• Proficiency in basic math and financial calculations.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior cashier or assistant manager experience preferred.
• Valid Class “C” Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification or ability to obtain certification.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity for operating cash registers and handling merchandise.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
