Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Armed Security Guard to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain the safety and security of our facility, customers, and staff. The ideal candidate will be vigilant, detail-oriented, and capable of handling potentially high-stress situations with professionalism and tact.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a visible presence to deter any potential threats or incidents.
- Monitor surveillance cameras to ensure constant awareness of activities inside and outside the facility.
- Operate and maintain the metal detector to scan individuals entering the premises.
- Enforce security protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with state regulations and company policies.
- Respond promptly to any security breaches, disturbances, or emergencies.
- Escort employees and customers to and from their vehicles as needed.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with any security-related concerns or inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid armed security guard license in the state of Michigan.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in operating surveillance equipment and metal detectors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
