SFC Contract Services, Inc. is looking for skilled operators. This position will operate and support equipment including de-watering presses, cable dredges, barge dredges, gator tail boats light construction equipment and pick-up trucks. Servicing equipment and assisting in operations. Clean and wash tools and equipment. This is a traveling job. The wage for this role is $30.00 - $32.00 per hour with a $100 per diem per day.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment. Under direction, assists with routine and non-routine servicing of equipment. Reviews and updates operational records of machinery. Record keeping including time sheets.

· Housekeeping

· Washing equipment with pressure washer

· Complete equipment daily checks.

· Work safely and wear all required P.P.E at all times (hard hat, safety glasses, steel toed boots, life jacket, hi-vis vest, ear plugs and gloves).

· Fueling and greasing equipment

· Avoid all spills when fueling or servicing equipment.

· Assist with end of the month safety inspections of the equipment

· Assist with the setting up of the equipment during moves.

· Operate an 8” diesel pump for pushing material long distances

· Cleans and maintains equipment and tools.

· Inspects machine for safety equipment.

· Run Parts

· Extensive overnight travel will be required (up to 20 days per hitch)

Requirements

· Must qualify to wear a SCBA.

· Computer literate – proficient in Excel to complete timesheets

· Knowledge of the use of tools and equipment in servicing equipment.

· Will work around and over water.

· Ability to carry out written and oral instructions.

· Ability to keep routine records

· Ability to perform manual labor

· Ability to operate light motor vehicle

· Ability to operate a rough terrain forklift

· Operate a flat bottom john boat in a pond with heavy solids

· Possess a valid driver’s license
