Job Description:

Position Description:

Builds and deploys Cloud-enabled applications using 12 Factor Design. Builds scalable and high efficiency Web applications and APIs. Develops multi-factor authentication and integrates the authentication model with products. Migrates legacy security systems to the latest technical-stack with an upgraded security model. Develops application improvements resulting in more robust, stable, and scalable systems for implementation across the organization. Develops maintainable, scalable multi-tiered applications in an Agile environment. Designs and develops software applications using programming languages -- Core Java and Python. Designs front-end applications using JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS, NodeJS, and React. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
  • Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
  • Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
  • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
  • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing Java Web application development in an enterprise environment.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing Java Web application development in an enterprise environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and developing REST Web services, and performing unit, integration, and performance testing of APIs using Junit, Sonar, Cucumber, and Selenium; and developing enterprise J2EE applications using Spring framework.
  • DE developing and testing responsive Single Page Applications (SPA), using Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Typescript; and developing rich browser compatible User Interface (UI) applications using Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Typescript.
  • DE designing, developing, installing, analyzing, monitoring, performance tuning, and testing customer facing enterprise back-end applications in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Java, Oracle, and Rest Web services.
  • DE performing Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), and monitoring through DevOps, using Jenkins, Git, Maven, and Datadog.
