Job description
A Distribution company in California, Ohio and New Jersey is looking for a payroll and HR specialist.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Bilingual with English and Spanish)
- Proven work experience as an HR administrative assistant and payroll specialist.
- PC literacy and experience with MS Office applications
- Knowledge of labor legislation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain employee records
- Update HR databases (e.g., new hires, separations, vacation, and sick leaves)
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data, like absences, bonuses, and leaves, and upload payroll info to check the processing company.
- Prepare paperwork for HR policies and procedures
- Process employees’ requests and provide relevant information
- Collaborate with the Recruiter to post job ads on careers pages and process incoming resumes
- Provide orientations for new employees by explaining company policies
