As the Clinical Services Director, you will be responsible for the development and oversight of clinical or specialty services within Northway Academy (NWA).
Services and Support:
  • Oversee clinical teams as assigned by monitoring delivery of clinical supports and implementation of clinical programming; ensure consistent, engaging, and relevant services are delivered to the individuals served.
  • Participate in meetings regarding program development, policies, procedures, program evaluation, etc. related to clinical services as needed.
  • Establish liaisons with consulting staff (psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, teachers, etc.) and mentors to ensure coordinated service delivery to individuals served.
  • Oversee implementation of all aspects of clinical services; including strategic planning, vision, team member growth and development, operational efficiency, margin enhancement, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, stakeholder relations, and advocacy for our team members, individuals served and their respective caregivers.
  • Work with operations leadership to assess clinical support options for specialty programs and develop strategies to implement identified options.
  • Oversee regulatory and licensing compliance for all clinical supports to individuals served, ensuring adherence to accreditation standards in accordance with national and state guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping for all clinical services, documents, assessments, progress, and activity; review records and logs to stay abreast of changes in service plans; maintain confidentiality.
  • On-call and expected to be available in the event of emergency.
Stakeholder Relations:
  • Manage relations and communications with individuals served, operations leadership, families and the general community with respect to delivery of clinical supports.
  • Develop relationship with local and state specialty service/discipline advocacy and legislative groups.
  • Maintain and foster relations with state and regional government authorities and referral agencies such as school systems, case managers, county representatives and other governmental administrators. 
Personnel:
  • Supervise NWA’s Clinical Supervisors and other clinical caregivers and may provide clinical consultation as needed and if clinically appropriate.
  • Oversee implementation of human resource practices including recruitment, hiring, retention, training, scheduling, processing, record keeping, and management of clinical employees; participate in monthly state-level operations meetings; conduct regular meetings for clinical personnel.
  • Conduct annual evaluations and oversee evaluation process for clinical employees; in consultation with human resource personnel, review written warnings and approve all involuntary terminations for NWA personnel.
  • Working in tandem with Quality and Risk leaders, participate in workers’ compensation and employee safety programs; monitor compliance; direct return to work implementation. 
Growth and Development:
  • Support NWA development to serve new populations and drive geographic and service line expansion; encourage new start or other core development initiatives.
  • Support NWA strategy to increase census, maintain occupancy, improve daily attendance, and maximize utilization. 
Financial Management:
  • Working in tandem with Clinic Director as well as other NWA functional areas, support the performance of the clinical service line while keeping in consideration business metrics (e.g. productivity measures), financial performance and other business-related decisions.
  • Working in tandem with Business Office representatives and other functional areas, ensure NWA billing is accurate and in compliance with documentation requirements; monitor utilization between authorization, provision of service and billing.
  • Monitor direct care purchasing to maintain budgetary compliance; monitor staffing and state-wide spending.
  • Work with Executive Director and other functional areas to develop and implement fair and equitable state wage plans; approve wage status changes for team according to wage guidelines and budgetary parameters.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in human services.
  • Four years of related experience with one of year experience in clinical supervision.
  • Other licensure or certification such as BCBA where required by regulatory authority.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated skills with motivating team and driving results to meet goals.
