Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical (Medsurg) unit.
• Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient responses based on established protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform other nursing procedures as required.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and family members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
• Maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories, nursing care plans, and medication administration records.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, providing input and suggestions for process enhancements.
• Stay updated on current nursing practices, attending educational seminars, workshops, and conferences as required.
• Consistently demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and respect for patients, families, and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
• Minimum of 2 years of Medsurg nursing experience.
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred) from a recognized organization.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
