Job Title: Endoscopy, Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Saranac Lake, NY

Blended Rate: $2430/wk

Shift: 3x12s - 36hrs - Days

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Endoscopy RN to join our team in Saranac Lake, NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care during endoscopic procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative procedures for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
• Prepare and maintain sterile instrumentation and equipment required for endoscopic procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during all phases of the procedure, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assessing patients' response to treatment.
• Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures by providing appropriate instruments, sutures, and devices.
• Operate and care for endoscopic equipment, ensuring proper functionality and sterile techniques are followed.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including documenting procedures performed, patient conditions, medications administered, and any adverse events.
• Educate patients and their families about the procedure, postoperative care, and any necessary lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and best practices in endoscopy nursing through ongoing education and professional development.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in endoscopy nursing.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of endoscopic procedures, equipment, and supplies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients and their families.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare software systems.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations.
