Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)

Rate: $2,500 Weekly

Shift: 36hrs - 3x12hrs - Days

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room (OR) team in Lawrenceville, GA. As an integral part of our surgical services, the Registered Nurse in the Operating Room plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients undergoing surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' physical and emotional status prior to surgery.
• Verify surgical consent forms and relevant documentation.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure patient readiness for surgery.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to prepare the operating room and equipment.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures by providing instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and responses to anesthesia throughout the surgical process.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and ensure a sterile environment is maintained.
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients' recovery from anesthesia and surgical interventions.
• Assess patients for any signs of complications or adverse reactions.
• Provide postoperative education and instructions to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care according to facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

• Current RN licensure in the state of Georgia.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in perioperative nursing, preferably in an operating room setting.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing education and professional development.
