Job Title: Operating Room RN

Location: Rochester, NY

Salary: $2880 Weekly

Shifts: 3x12s - D/N rotation

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Room RN to join our team at a busy hospital located in Rochester, NY. The Operating Room RN will be responsible for providing patient care and support before, during, and after surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures

- Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and maintain patient records

- Prepare operating room equipment and assist with setup and cleanup of surgical instruments and supplies

- Provide preoperative and postoperative care for patients

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to plan, implement, and evaluate patient treatment plans

- Adhere to established policies and procedures to maintain patient safety and confidentiality

- Continuously stay updated on advances in surgical techniques and patient care practices

Qualifications:

- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an Operating Room setting

- Competence in the use of surgical instruments and equipment

- Ability to remain focused and attentive during long surgeries

- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, their families, and the medical team

- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and other computer-based documentation

- BLS certification required
