As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for administering radiopharmaceuticals and performing specialized imaging procedures on patients to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. *Responsibilities of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist:*
* Perform high-quality nuclear medicine imaging procedures using a variety of specialized medical equipment and technology.
* Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
* Position patients properly and ensure their comfort throughout the imaging process.
* Monitor patients' vital signs and record any adverse reactions or complications.
* Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring accurate functioning and safety.
* Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze nuclear medicine images and reports.
* Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging results, patient information, and dosage details.
* Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and regulations, following standard radiation protection practices.
* Stay abreast of the latest advancements in nuclear medicine technology and techniques through continuous education and professional development.
*Requirements of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist:*
* BLS Certification
* ARRT or CNMT License
* 2 Years Nuclear Med Tech Experience required
* NYS License
